The Healing Power of Art: Pierce Brosnan’s Journey Through Grief and Expression

This week my artistic research led me to find that the James Bond star – Pierce Brosnan –  uses painting and art to help him with grief. Art net released an article all about how painting helped him to cope with his wife’s ovarian cancer.

The actor’s work is fuelled by surrealism and pop art. If there’s two things the BHP’s collector loves, its James Bond and Pop Art!

Looking at his work is really amazing, the pieces are filled with detail but yet aren’t overcrowded. You can see the chaos being released from his mind but combined with a control that only years of acting roles can give.

He’s been at it for a while though, check out his video from 2018 where he tells Jimmy Fallon all about how he sold a painting for a million dollars! Something that mostly happens after an artist is long gone! Good on you Brosnan, its always a beautiful thing to turn your sorrow into art!

Sometimes all it takes is having the courage to pick up a paint brush and not care about the outcome!

After all expressing yourself is what matters! If you create something you like out of it then that’s a bonus!
